Edgewater Fire Department participates in high water rescue vehicle training

October 25, 2025 — Edgewater Fire Company #1 reported that Lt. Shirinian took part in a High Water Rescue Vehicle Training class this morning, strengthening the department’s preparedness for flood-related emergencies.


According to the company, Edgewater operates two high water rescue vehicles, which are deployed during flash flooding incidents both within the borough and in neighboring communities. The training focused on safe operation, navigation, and rescue strategies in rapidly changing water conditions.


The Edgewater Fire Department noted that ongoing training ensures members remain ready to respond when severe weather threatens residents and roadways.
