GADSDEN COUNTY, FL - At 3:50PM on Tuesday, November 23, Gadsden County 9-1-1 dispatched personnel to a reported vehicle fire on Interstate 10 Eastbound at the 181-mile marker just outside of Quincy in Gadsden County. The initial dispatch requested the City of Quincy Fire Department (first due) and the Wetumpka Volunteer Fire Department (second due). Additional mutual aid was requested from the City of Gretna Fire Department. Upon arrival of first & second due units it was reported that a Ford F350 towing a trailer was fully involved with the occupants out of the vehicle. The outside lane of Interstate 10 was closed by the Florida Highway Patrol and fire apparatus for personnel safety for a short period of time while Quincy Firefighters pulled a line and extinguished the fire. There were no injuries as a result of this fire.
