Pocono Pines, Pa. — November 11 — Following reports of flames coming from the truck, the Obyhanna Township Volunteer Fire Company responded to a tractor-trailer fire on Interstate 80 on Tuesday. Pocono Mountain Regional EMS, Pocono Summit Volunteer Fire Company, and Tunkhannock Township Volunteer Fire Company responded to the incident with further assistance.
First to arrive was Command 41, which was manned by the Chief and Assistant Chief. While Pocono Pines workers arrived with 41-Rescue Engine-3, 41-Tanker-3, and 41-Utility-2, Blakeslee crews responded with 41-Tanker-2. The fire was restricted to the tractor by a swift and well-planned attack, which stopped it from spreading. Crews worked for a little more than an hour, and no injuries were reported.
