Pocono Pines, Pa. — October 30 — Tobyhanna Township Volunteer Fire Company participated in the Tobyhanna Elementary Centre Autumn Festival on Thursday, spending the day with staff and kids learning about safety and fire prevention. The Tobyhanna Township Bureau of Fire and the Tunkhannock Township Volunteer Fire Company provided assistance to members.
Students in kindergarten through sixth grade met with firefighters to go over fundamental safety procedures, show off equipment, and explain how teams are ready for crises. Students had the chance to speak with responders and gain more knowledge about local fire and emergency medical services during the event.
