Pocono Pines, Pa. — October 28 — An automated commercial fire alarm went off on Monday morning, prompting the Tobyhanna Township Volunteer Fire Company to go to the Arden Mills facility. When arriving units noticed smoke coming from the building, the incident was upgraded to a commercial structure fire.
41-Rescue Engine-3, 41-Tanker-3, 41-Utility-6, and 41-Tanker-2 were brought in by crews from Pocono Pines and Blakeslee stations. Pocono Summit, Coolbaugh Township, Pocono Mountain, Pocono Township, Tobyhanna Army Depot, Stroudsburg, Tunkhannock Township, Barrett Township, Lake Harmony, Gouldsboro, and the Tobyhanna Township Bureau of Fire were among the other departments that were sent out once conditions were verified. Additionally, county emergency management, regional police, and Pocono Mountain Regional EMS responded.
