Bloomfield, N.J. — November 20 —Bloomfield Fire Department members recently finished a specialized "Through the Lock" training class led by Establish Command. The hands-on course allowed firefighters to practice entering a variety of doors and locking systems with precision approaches rather than force.

The training provided participants with a greater understanding of how various locks work, allowing them to make faster and more informed decisions during situations. Instructors stressed that these abilities avoid unnecessary harm while still allowing for safe and efficient fire and EMS operations. The Bloomfield Fire Department stated that investing in technical entry training improves everyday response capabilities and protects both life and property throughout the community.
