WALDEN, NY - Walden Fire Department responded to a reported car fire on the morning of November 14, 2025, near Bel Air Park on State Route 52. Car 1 arrived on scene, finding a working car fire, prompting a resound. Crews arrived on scene shortly after, and Lt. Gonda put the fire out using the trash line on Squad 236. Tanker 239 also responded to the scene to provide extra water if required. Crews had the fire out within a few minutes but stayed on scene to block traffic until the vehicle was removed from the roadway. Walden units were back in service within an hour.
