On November, 17, 2025, at approximately 0820 hours, the Camden County Fire Alarm Room transmitted at box for the Audubon Fire Department and automatic aid units to 210 Yale Road in Audubon for the report of a dwelling fire. Audubon Fire Chief, Patrick Slammer (Chief 1) was first to arrive and reported smoke showing from the rear of the dwelling. He quickly assessed the scene and reported fire was showing from the rear of the dwelling. Haddon Heights Squad Company 2, under the command of Captain Ben Zwaska, was first to arrive. Squad Co 2 stretched a 1 3/4” hand line to the rear of the dwelling to sweep the rear of the building from a fire that appeared to have started on or near the second floor deck and rapidly spread up the exterior and was working its way into the second floor and attic space. After sweeping the rear to the building and knocking down the bulk of the fire to arrest the rapid fire spread, Squad Co 2 redirected their hose line to the interior of the dwelling. There was some extension to the interior second floor that was quickly extinguished and there was more significant extension into the attic space, but crews were quick to make access to the attic through pull down stairs and extinguish that fire as well. Searches were made, ventilation and overhaul were performed before bringing the fire under control at around the 30 minute mark. There were no reported injuries at this fire.
