One Transported After Three-Vehicle Crash in Penn Hills

Penn Hills, Pa. — October 23 — Around 5 p.m. Thursday, Stations 221, 222, and 227 were dispatched to a three-vehicle accident with injuries between Nadine Road and Allegheny River Boulevard. The 227 Chief came first and confirmed that all lanes of ARB were closed. Units from 222 commenced patient care, while Rescue 227 handled containment and road debris. Engine 221 took a defensive stance, redirecting all traffic onto Nadine Road while workers secured the scene of the incident.
Penn Hills EMS evaluated three patients, with one being taken to a local trauma hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. The street was closed for almost 30 minutes while crews cleared hazards. Penn Hills police are investigating the crash's cause.
