Tree of Stations Dispatched to Two-Vehicle Crash With Entrapment

Penn Hills, Pa. — Oct 20: Stations 225, 222, and 227 were dispatched to the 2700 block of Robinson Boulevard for a reported motor vehicle accident resulting in entrapment. Penn Hills Police and a firefighter from Station 225 arrived first, discovering the operator of one vehicle unconscious on the ground and the operator of the second vehicle with minor injuries. Stations 221 and 223 were built for extra support.

Rescue 227 arrived, and crews removed the driver's side door to gain access to the trapped occupant while providing patient care until a neighboring EMS unit reached the scene. All other incoming units were canceled, and the incident was held to 227 Rescue. The call operated under the command of Station 225, with PHPD and the Penn Hills Fire Marshal’s Office assisting.
