Lewistown, Pa. — October 26 — After a six-month pump and accessory refurbishment, Engine 14 from City Hook & Ladder #14, 317 Valley Street, was put back into duty last week. The engine was put through a full training cycle during a joint session with the Granville Fire Company and other local departments, and it has already responded to numerous calls since coming back online. Crews took advantage of the chance to run water-supply evolutions, verify pump efficiency, and make sure the new components were functioning dependably.

The engine is currently getting ready for the next stage of its renovation, which will involve painting, new writing, and improved lighting. The agency anticipates that these upgrades will be finished by early December, bringing the unit back to full operational and aesthetic standards.
