Port Allegany, Pa. — November 13 — After Box 3-3 was sent out on Thursday night, Star Hose Company #1, located at 65 W. Maple Street, responded to a reported house fire with a person trapped. Engine 3's six-person crew responded in a matter of seconds as members were getting ready to lead the local football team in a victory parade. Immediately following was Roulette Chemical Engine Co.'s Engine 46, which was also dedicated to the parade detail.

When units arrived, they discovered a single-story house with a lot of smoke, and onlookers confirmed that someone was still inside. When Engine 3 arrived, it divided its crew, forming a queue while a search team went inside the structure. One person was found by firefighters and taken out of the house, where EMS treated them.
