Malfunctioning A/C Unit Causes Fire at Daytona Beach Hotel

Daytona Beach, FL - Firefighters responded to a Daytona Beach hotel for a commercial structure fire on November 9th.

Crews determined that the fire was on the second floor and had all the hotel occupants evacuate their rooms for safety. Once the affected room was located, firefighters were able to get the fire extinguished, and through investigation, found out the cause was a result of the A/C unit malfunctioning.

Firefighters were able to prevent the fire from spreading to any adjacent rooms. No hotel staff or occupants were injured.
