Houston Firefighters Rescue Horse from Septic Hole

Houston, TX - On Sunday, November 18th at 5:45 p.m., Houston Firefighters were faced with an unusual incident. Crews were able to rescue a horse from a septic hole. The owner says someone was riding the horse when it fell into 6' X 6' septic hole.

Engine 25, Ladder 7, heavy rescue 11, and Ambulance 25 worked for more than an hour to rescue the horse. The horse was left in the custody of animal control. Public Works was notified about the septic hole.
