Catasauqua, Pa. — October 17 — On Friday morning, the Catasauqua Fire Department District 2, located at 90 Bridge St., Catasauqua, Pennsylvania, responded to a car accident near Airport Centre Road and Middle Drive. Following reports of a collision with a confined driver, Station 2 was sent out along with Station 33 (Han-Le-Co) and Station 75 (Northampton Regional EMS). Rescue/Engine 2 and all three chiefs responded.

One patient was restricted to the driver's seat following a two-vehicle incident, according to Chief 2. Rescue workers concluded that a door removal would offer the safest approach after evaluating the vehicle and patient position. A controlled "door pop," a common extrication method in the area, was accomplished by the crews.
