Catasauqua, Pa. — October 20 — At an awards ceremony at Hanover Township Fire Company, six members of the Catasauqua Fire Department District 2, located at 90 Bridge St., Catasauqua, Pennsylvania, were recognised. HURST Jaws of Life awarded the firefighters the Green Cross Award, a recognition bestowed upon responders who use HURST rescue equipment during noteworthy extrication operations.

The department's efforts at a serious car collision that resulted in a fatality but also a successful rescue were linked to the prize. Crews collaborated closely with EMS and law enforcement to handle the incident while using hydraulic tools to finish the extrication. The competence, coordination, and steady performance displayed during the incident were underlined by the recognition.
