Station 26 Responds to Route 202 Crash Involving Two Trucks

West Amwell, N.J. — October 23 —West Amwell Fire Company Station 26 was alerted at 4:40 a.m. Thursday to a motor vehicle accident on Route 202 near Wertsville Road. WAFCO, Station 48 Fire and Rescue, Station 17 Rescue, and EMS 3 responded to a reported rollover crash. Chief 48 arrived to find two tractor-trailers engaged, one of which was on its side.

Chief 26 (Ent), Rescue 26 (Lt. Hunt), and Utility 26 (Lt. Buck) were assigned to help control the gushing fluids from the overturned truck. Crews worked on the site for around two and a half hours before being dismissed by command. There were no other difficulties reported after the event was stabilized.
