Hokendauqua, Pa. — October 18 — Station 38 of the Whitehall Fire Department supported two community Touch-a-Truck activities on a busy Saturday afternoon. While Squirt 38 took part in the Lowe's Touch-a-Truck, which was hosted somewhere else in the township, Engine 38 went to the Korean Food and Festival Touch-a-Truck.
Firefighters talked to families, demonstrated the equipment, and went over fundamental fire safety. Kids have the opportunity to tour the rigs and learn about the tools used in emergency situations. As autumn temperatures start to drop, crews also provided seasonal warnings regarding home safety and smoke alarms.
