Fire Contained in East Fallowfield; One Pet Lost

Parkesburg, Pa. — November 6 —Following a 7:14 p.m. dispatch, the Keystone Valley Fire Department aided Station 37 with a working house fire in the 900 block of Buck Run Road. Firefighters arrived to discover flames coming from the house, triggering a working fire dispatch. One dog was rescued from the home, but despite the best efforts of personnel on the site, the animal did not survive. Engine 37 and 38 installed approximately 2,000 feet of supply pipe from a nearby hydrant to support operations. Buck Run Road near the park remained closed throughout the incident.

By 8:40 p.m., the fire was under control, and firefighters from KVFD Engine 8, Rescue 8, Traffic 8, and Utility 8 remained on scene to assist the Fire Marshal, complete the overhaul, and repack the hoses. The department requested that the community keep the affected family in their thoughts as the investigation continued.
