November 14, 2025 — Members of the Whiting Fire Company Station 33 spent last night participating in a vehicle extrication drill hosted by the New Egypt Fire Department. The training provided valuable hands-on experience and multiple repetitions, giving firefighters from both departments the opportunity to strengthen their skills and work together in a realistic training environment.
During the drill, members from both agencies operated Amkus rescue tools, with a representative on scene to provide guidance and support. The session emphasized teamwork, communication, and proficiency in extrication techniques used during motor vehicle accidents.
The Whiting Fire Company expressed its appreciation to Station 39 for the invitation and for coordinating the joint training opportunity.
