Allentown, Pa. — November 4 — A dryer fire in the basement of a house in the 1100 block of West Tilghman Street prompted the Allentown Fire Department's Engine 6 and Truck 2 to react along with several city companies. Before resuming service, crews promptly put out the appliance's fire, looked for an extension, and ventilated the house.
