CONESTOGA, PA — November 2, 2025 — As daylight saving time ended, the Conestoga Volunteer Fire Company reminded residents to take an important safety step along with turning their clocks back: replace the batteries in smoke detectors.
Fire officials emphasized that regularly changing batteries and testing alarms are simple measures that significantly improve home fire safety. The department encouraged all households to use the seasonal time change as a reminder to ensure their smoke detectors were functioning properly.
