Myerstown, Pa. — October 26 — Following the dispatch of Box 48-03 for a structure fire in the 1700 block of South 5th Avenue, Keystone Hook & Ladder Company No. 1 provided assistance to South Lebanon Township units. Six people from Tower 31 responded to the initial warning. Command 48 requested a second alarm after initial units reported fire through a single-story home's roof.
When the second alarm went out, Wagon 31 answered with six. Upon arrival, Tower 31's crew divided up to assist with entrance, make room for interior companies, extend lines, and assist with suppression efforts. As activities proceeded, the crew of Waggon 31 was soon tasked with helping to open up and extinguish hot areas.
