Medevac takes one to hospital after car hits tree
TERRE HAUTE, IN - Emergency crews were called to Sugar Grove Drive just east of Terre Haute near Route 42 around 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 14, 2009 when a car hit a tree.
Emergency crews called for a helicopter not long after they arrived on scene and found a pickup truck that had slammed into a tree.
EMTs on scene said that he was alive but not alert when they went to the vehicle to evaluate the patient and his injuries.
Deputies are involved in an investigation at this time and no word has been released on why the driver lost control and hit the tree. Also, no name and the conditions of injuries of the driver has been released.
Emergency crews included Terre Haute Fire Department and the Vigo County Sheriff's Department.
