October 29, 2025 — Last week, members of the Kenilworth Fire Department participated in a comprehensive training session at the Union County Fire Academy drill grounds. Crews completed several live burn evolutions inside the academy’s burn building, allowing firefighters to refine fire attack tactics and operate under realistic fire conditions.
Rescue personnel simultaneously conducted training on establishing the EMS Branch and implementing fire rehabilitation procedures, ensuring that medical support and firefighter recovery protocols were effectively integrated into the incident operations. Following the second burn evolution, all firefighters underwent EMS assessments to monitor their health and readiness.
The department commended the excellent performance of all participating members and extended its appreciation to the Union County Fire Academy instructors for facilitating the live burn training.
