Westfield Fire Department Mourns the Passing of Retired Firefighter Peter Giordano

November 12, 2025 — The Westfield Fire Department announced with great sadness the passing of retired Firefighter Peter Giordano, a longtime member of the department whose career spanned more than three decades.


Firefighter Giordano began his service with the Westfield Fire Department in 1956 and faithfully served the community until his retirement in 1987. During his 31-year career, he was known for his dedication, professionalism, and commitment to protecting the residents of Westfield.


In a statement, the department expressed its condolences, saying it “offers heartfelt sympathy to the family and friends of retired Firefighter Giordano,” and acknowledged the lasting impact he made on those he served alongside.
