November 6, 2025 — TheAllamuchy Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire in the Panther Valley section of town on Bald Eagle. The vehicle involved was a mail carrier truck that had broken down prior to the incident.
Crews from Engine 91-61 and Tanker 91-71 arrived promptly and were able to knock down the fire quickly. Fortunately, postal workers had already removed all mail from the vehicle before the fire ignited, preventing any loss of mail.
No injuries were reported.
For approximately one hour, Bald Eagle was temporarily detoured as firefighters worked to extinguish the fire and safely clear the scene.
