The Stewartsville Volunteer Fire Company announced that it responded to 41 calls for service in October 2025. The month's activity included 14 EMS assists, 12 automatic fire alarms, six motor vehicle accidents, four brush fires, two structure fires, one culinary mishap, one good-intent call, and one wire fire. This brings the department’s year-to-date total to 321 calls for service.

Beyond emergency responses, the department completed its regular monthly apparatus and equipment checks and remained active in community outreach and training. Firefighters provided fire safety demonstrations at multiple schools during Fire Safety Week, attended a trunk-or-treat event at Thomas Stewart Park, and carried out their annual Halloween patrol while distributing candy.

Training efforts continued with a ground ladders drill and a hydrant and pump operations drill, which also included testing a new nozzle for the fire apparatus. Several members further expanded their skills by completing Rapid Intervention Training and earning certification in firefighter rescue operations.

The department invited the community to follow @station98fire on Instagram for additional photos, videos, and updates.
