Neshannock Township, Pa. — October 30 — Neshannock Township Fire Company continued their fall community engagement by participating in another Trunk or Treat event with the Neshannock Township School District. In a laid-back atmosphere, firefighters spent the evening giving out candies, interacting with families, and chatting with youngsters. Residents can easily meet with first responders through this event, which has become a regular holiday activity in the district.

The joyful mood was enhanced by the variety of costumes, which included everything from traditional Halloween themes to a community member dressed as Sparky the Fire Dog. Events like this, according to the department, foster stronger community relationships and provide younger residents with an opportunity to interact with firefighters outside of emergency situations.
