Old Forge, Pa. — October 28 — On Tuesday, the Moosic Heights manufactured home community's 2nd Street structure caught fire, prompting the Old Forge Fire Department to respond. When the crews arrived, they discovered a mobile home on the porch area that had caught fire, possibly spreading to other units in the closely spaced development. Firefighters swiftly put out the fire while safeguarding nearby residences.
Investigators from the Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal's Office examined the scene to identify the cause, while mutual-aid organizations helped with overhaul and suppression. No injuries were recorded, although the affected home's occupants were relocated. Before cleaning, crews stayed on the area to make sure any hot spots were taken care of.
