Dickson City, Pa. — October 28 — During the district's annual Fire Prevention Day, the Dickson City Fire Department joined firemen from Throop and Olyphant to give students safety lessons and equipment tours. While grades 4-6 attended a school-wide assembly centered on preventive and emergency planning, grades K–3 got presentations in the classroom and then visited fire vehicles and equipment. The program carried on the departments' long-standing collaboration in educating the community about fire safety.
