Smoke in vacant store

Winona Lake and Dan Leghorn FD responded to smoke in vacant store at the Newburgh Mall on Route 300 on November 12. Firefighters were met at rear entrance by security,where they smelled something burning. Winona Lake FD stretched two hand lines into mall, Winona Lake Ladder set up north of entrance and checked roof area. Heat sensor gun was used inside store. Matter turned over to Mall management. Deputy Orange County Fire Coordinator 36-12 was at scene.
