Coolspring, Pa. — October 10 —Station 9 was joined by firefighters from the Oliver Township Volunteer Fire Co., located at 184 Bodenhorn Road, to demonstrate a practical fire safety program that included the department's smoke house trailer.
Children were taught how to test doors for heat, identify the sound of a smoke alarm, and safely leave a smoke-filled area. The goal of the activity was to teach useful home safety techniques while boosting self-assurance and lowering anxiety.
