Corsica, Pa. — October 21 — As part of its continuous outreach on fire safety, the Corsica Volunteer Fire Company paid a visit to Clarion Limestone Elementary School on Tuesday. Chief Corry Bish discussed escape planning, fire safety, and the value of maintaining composure in emergency situations with students in kindergarten through third grade. During the event, firefighters Derek, Steph, Bentley, and Kelsey helped by demonstrating the department's equipment and responding to enquiries from pupils.

The program, which was a component of National Fire Prevention Week events, was designed to teach kids how to respond properly in the event of a fire. Practical teachings like "Stop, Drop and Roll," dialling 911, and the necessity of having functional smoke alarms at home were stressed by the crews.
