Marion Center Firefighters Battle Sawmill Fire on Route 119.

MARION CENTER, Pa. — October 30 — Along Behm Road, close to Route 119 North, firefighters from the Marion Centre Volunteer Fire Department and a number of northern Indiana County departments responded to a working sawmill fire. When crews arrived, they saw that there was a lot of fire, so they started suppressing it right away.
While personnel battled to confine the fire and safeguard surrounding properties, tankers provided a consistent flow of water. The fire was effectively put out thanks to the coordinated efforts of the responding departments.
