Altoona Firefighters Mourn Loss of FDNY Firefighter Patrick Brady

Altoona, Pa. — November 9 —The Altoona Fire Fighters IAFF Local 299 offers its heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and fellow members of the Fire Department of the City of New York (FDNY) following the line-of-duty death of Firefighter Patrick Brady.

Firefighter Brady, 42, suffered a cardiac arrest while battling a fire on the roof of Kings Highway in Brooklyn on November 8. Despite the quick medical assistance from fellow firefighters and EMS crews, he died at Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center. Brady served the FDNY for 11 years. He started his career with Engine 227 in Brooklyn and transferred to Ladder 120 in 2022. His commitment to public safety and bravery in service reflect the best of the fire service brotherhood.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones and the entire FDNY family as they mourn this tremendous loss.
