On November 8, 2025 at 2240 hours, the Camden County Fire Alarm Room transmitted a box for the Camden Fire Department for a reported dwelling fire at 1604 Park Blvd. EMS, who was in the area, took in the box and arrived to a reported fire victim in the rear of the dwelling and the report that other victim(s) may still be inside the dwelling. Camden Squad Co 7, under the command of Captain Bobby Eckert, and Battalion Chief 2, Michael Miller, arrived simultaneously and reported a two story, ordinary constructed, middle of the row dwelling, with heavy smoke showing from the front and fire in the rear (division C). The All Hands signal was transmitted and an additional Battalion Chief (BC Ryan Fox) and Ladder Company from Gloucester City were dispatched as other Camden units were committed to another assignment. Squad 7 quickly stretched an 1 3/4” handline through the front door and proceeded to the second floor. Heavy fire involved two bedrooms in the rear and made its way to the hallway. Squad 7 nozzle man, FF Brandon Gerald, was able to push the fire back as Captain Bobby Eckert made his way around the line to search the rest of the second floor for any trapped occupants. The primary and secondary searches proved negative, but two fire victims were found on the exterior in the rear of the dwelling. EMS packaged the injured and transported them to the hospital. One victim was reported to be in critical condition. A firefighter was treated and released from the hospital for burns. Ladders were raised, water supply secured, exposures were checked, overhaul was performed and the fire was placed under control at 2301 hours. The fire remains under investigation.
