Earl Township Assists at Boyertown House Fire

Boyertown, Pa. — October 27 —On Monday afternoon, Engine 19 from the Earl Township Fire Company responded to Boyertown Area Fire & Rescue for a house fire on Schaeffer Street in Boyertown Borough.
Deputy 95 arrived and saw smoke coming from the building. After checking the surroundings, he reported an active fire at the back of the house. Ladder 95 was the first truck on the scene and performed a primary search, confirming that no one was inside. Engine 19 was the first engine to arrive. They secured a water supply from the hydrant and set up a handline at the front door. The interior crews quickly found and put out a kitchen fire towards the back of the house.
Engine 97 personnel completed a secondary search on the second floor, assisted with ventilation, and confirmed no fire spread. Montgomery Engine 67 stood by at the hydrant but was not needed to charge the line. There were no reported injuries, and the fire was contained to the kitchen area. The Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal and FM94 were on the scene to investigate the cause.
