Fort Edward, N.Y. — October 26 —The Fort Edward Fire Department, located at 114 Broadway, was called to a reported structure fire on Seminary Street early in the morning. When Car 2702 arrived, there was no fire visible from the outside. When Engine-Rescue 273 and Tower 274 arrived, they discovered that there was smoke in the basement due to a furnace electrical problem. There was no active fire. After about half an hour, workers ventilated the house and left. Fort Edward Rescue Squad and South Glens Falls Fire Company were sent, but they were soon released.
