Newbury, N.H. — October 21 — This week, Newbury Fire Rescue conducted an auto extrication training drill using a donated junk vehicle to simulate real-world crash scenarios.

Firefighters rehearsed using power and hand tools to cut open a vehicle and extract simulated trapped occupants, as well as hydraulic rescue tool operations and vehicle stabilization. The goal of the session was to maintain members' technical rescue skills and prepare them for any future crises.
