Newbury, Mass. — October 10 — The Newbury Fire Department joined staff at the Newbury Library and Newbury Firefighters Museum on Thursday to celebrate Fire Prevention Week with a special story hour for the community’s youngest residents.

Children aged 1–3 listened to stories about firefighters and fire safety before touring the Firefighters Museum with their parents. During the visit, a firefighter demonstrated his full turnout gear and explained how firefighters look and sound during an emergency, reassuring children that they should never be afraid if they see one coming to help.
