Rome, N.Y. — October 19 — Lake Delta Fire Department, 8508 Elmer Hill Road, joined Lee Center Volunteer Fire Dept. and Taberg Volunteer Fire Company for a joint training exercise focused on drafting operations, tanker shuttles, and pump techniques.
The session improved coordination among mutual-aid partners and gave new members hands-on nozzle experience. Exercises like these help departments stay prepared for rural fire responses where staffing and water supply can be challenging.
