Niagara Falls, N.Y. — October 16 — Niagara Falls Firefighters–Local 714 responded around 3:55 a.m. to a reported structure fire at Len’s Auto Repair in the 600 block of 21st Street. A police officer on patrol first reported heavy smoke and flames coming from a garage in the alley between 20th and 21st Streets.

Engine 4’s crew deployed a handline for initial suppression while Truck 1 gained access to the structure. Engine 8 advanced a second line through a north-side man door for an interior attack, and Engine 3 established a hydrant and water supply. Firefighters operated for about an hour before bringing the fire under control.
