The New Ipswich Fire Department is advising residents to use caution as strong winds have led to multiple road closures and one-lane traffic throughout town.

Boynton Hill Road near the Temple town line is closed due to downed wires and a brush fire. Thayer Road by Turnpike Road is reduced to one lane because of storm-related debris and utility hazards.

Residents are reminded to exercise caution when traveling, avoid driving near or over downed wires, and ensure generators are used safely — keeping them outdoors and away from windows or vents to prevent carbon monoxide buildup.

The department continues to monitor the situation and thanks the community for their patience and cooperation as crews work to clear hazards and restore normal conditions.
