Mont Vernon Fire Department Responds to Serious Accident on Cross Road

The Mont Vernon Fire Department, along with Mont Vernon Police and Amherst EMS, responded to a serious medical incident in the area of Cross Road on Monday.
Upon arrival, responders found an individual who had become trapped by a tree he was cutting, approximately half a mile into the woods behind his home. Emergency crews worked quickly to extricate the patient, providing immediate medical care at the scene.
Due to the severity of the injuries, a MedFlight helicopter was requested for priority transport. The Milford Fire Department established the landing zone at the ball field by the Mont Vernon Village School to facilitate the airlift.
