Mont Vernon, NH — November 1, 2025

The Mont Vernon Fire Department is reminding residents that following recent rainfall, the Governor of New Hampshire has officially lifted the statewide burn ban.

While outdoor fires are now permitted, burn permits are still required for all outside burning under standard regulations. All Seasonal Class 1 permits issued earlier this year remain valid.

For any other type of fire, residents must obtain a permit either in person or online before burning. As always, outdoor burning is only allowed between 5:00 PM and 9:00 AM.

The department encourages everyone to follow safety guidelines and help prevent wildfires as conditions improve.
