As of Wednesday, October 29, 2025, the Governor’s statewide ban on open fires and smoking near woodlands has officially been lifted.

Outdoor burning within the Town of Milford will resume on Thursday, October 30, 2025. Fire permits will once again be available in person and online at nh.burnsafeamerica.com/Customer, with the State reactivating the online system Thursday morning.

The Milford Fire Department reminds residents to burn safely and responsibly, ensuring that all fires are attended and fully extinguished. The department appreciates the community’s continued cooperation in helping to maintain public and environmental safety.
