Merrimack Fire Rescue Responds to Gas Leak Incident

On October 29, 2025, C Shift from Merrimack Fire Rescue was dispatched to Captain Bannon Circle for a reported gas leak. Upon arrival, crews discovered that a 500-gallon underground propane tank had been accidentally struck by construction equipment.
As a safety precaution, nearby homes were evacuated while firefighters worked to isolate the leak and awaited the gas company’s response to complete repairs. Merrimack Fire Rescue crews remained on scene to ensure the area remained safe throughout the incident.
