Genoa, N.Y. — October 28 —At the Cortland County Regional Training Facility, six Genoa Volunteer Fire Department members participated in a seminar on "Short-Handed Firefighting" organized by the New York State Association of Fire Chiefs (NYSAFC). The course concentrated on methods and approaches for efficiently handling emergency situations with a small staff, which is a problem that many volunteer fire departments in New York State are facing more and more frequently.
