East Hartford, Conn. — November 5 — The East Hartford Fire Department announced the promotion of William Johnston to the rank of Apparatus Operator. Johnston, who has been serving in the role in an acting capacity for several months, will continue his assignment as the driver of Engine 6 on Group 1.
